About Us
Delivering loads of fun for Special Children
The East Coast Truckers Children's Charity provides fun and memorable days out for disadvantaged and disabled children across East Anglia.

Hosting the spectacular annual convoy of 100+ vehicles, along with trips to the Circus & Christmas parties our aim is to give the children and their families amazing memories to look back on.

Along with all the days out we provide, we also invite the children and their families for week long holidays in our 2 holiday homes in East Anglia.
Our Story
Pioneered in 1986 and originally formed by a group of East Anglian Truckers who had joined together to support drivers who were caught and prosecuted by using CB Radios, the group decided to work in conjunction with schools for special needs children to offer the children a unique chance to ride in a truck cab. This was the start of the annual convoy.
In 2000 the East Coast Truckers became a registered charity giving us larger scope for our fundraising efforts and allowed us to introduce more days out and events throughout the year including trips to the Hippodrome Circus, Banham Zoo and an annual Christmas party.

As a result of all our hardworking volunteers efforts to fundraise and the incredible donations we've received over the years we were able to purchase a static caravan at California Cliffs in Scratby and a Chalet at California Sands in Scratby to invite families on our database to a weeks holiday completely free of charge.
Today we are continuing all our hard work and fundraising efforts to ensure we can keep providing these special days out for disadvantaged and disabled children throughout East Anglia. We now have over 100 members who all volunteer their time to be apart of this special charity.
