I've registered my child on your database but haven't been to any events? With over 400 children already on our database we only have a limited number of spaces to each event we hold, so it is likely you won't receive an invite to every event we hold. To give as many children as possible the chance to attend our various events we cycle through the database when sending out invitations. Please be patient with us.

How can I drive a truck in the convoy? If you hold a HGV Licence and have access to use a tractor unit for convoy day please come along to one of our monthly members meetings to join. You need to join the charity as a member and complete a enhanced DBS check (which is organised through us) to be able to drive a truck in the convoy.
-
What route does the convoy take? The route is always subject to change and will be confirmed nearer Convoy day, however for reference the route taken last year was as follows: For the outbound journey our convoy departs from Postwick Park and Ride in Norwich and travels into Norwich City Centre past Norwich City Football Ground before heading toward Yarmouth Road in Norwich. From there the Convoy joins the A47 at Postwisk and continues to the Acle Roundabout before joining the Acle Straight. Once into Yarmouth the Convoy continues on to Gorleston through Middleton Road before rejoining the A47 to Pleasurewood Hills. Our estimated convoy timetable can be found on our Convoy Page On it's return journey the convoy follows the same route but with the addition of Great Yarmouth Seafront. The trucks pass through the entire length of the Great Yarmouth Golden Mile before turning off at Jellicoe Road to make it's return back to the A47 at Runham Roundabout.
-
Where is the best place to view the Convoy? For the outbound journey there are many points along the route you can stand to watch the convoy. There is opportunity to watch the convoy depart from Postwick Park and Ride and some other highlights include the Blofield and Acle bridges over the A47 (but get there quick as they are very busy!) Acle and Runham Roundabout and the entrance to Pleasurewood Hills. On the return journey, the same bridges and roundabouts offer great viewing points, or alternatively you can head to Great Yarmouth seafront to join the crowds waving the convoy through. Please ensure wherever you decide to watch the convoy from is safe to do so and doesn't impact other road users.
