£5000 Donation from The Ivy Child Charitable Trust for Africa Alive day out!

We are delighted to announce that the East Coast Truckers Childrens Charity has received a £5,000 boost to fully sponsor its trip to Africa Alive in May. At least three coach loads of children and their carers will receive an opportunity to enjoy a fantastic day out at Africa Alive. The £5,000 grant has been awarded by the Ivy Child Charitable Trust.

Ian Mackie, trustee of the Ivy Child Trust said;

“We are delighted to sponsor this trip to Africa Alive and help towards the Annual Convoy. The East Coast Truckers support so many very special local children, creating experiences and wonderful memories for both the children and their families.”

“Their convoy in the late summer, which travels through Thorpe St Andrew, en route to the coast is always a wonderful spectacle. From Yarmouth Road to Great Yarmouth, the convoy is an annual highlight.”

“As a charitable trust we support a wide range of projects, especially those aimed at supporting families, young carers and children. We hope the trip to Africa Alive will be a fantastic day.”

Ian Mackie, Chairman of the East Coast Truckers Children’s Charity, said;

“I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of East Coast Truckers to the Ivy Child Charitable Trust for the wonderful donation of £5000, this money will be used to fund a trip to Africa Alive for the children on our database.”

“Any monies left over will be put towards our Annual Convoy.”
